Dr. Stacy Davenport is an author, scholar, and mother. Dr. Davenport completed her undergraduate studies at the California State University Sacramento, where she earned a Bachelor of Social Work degree and Master of Social Work degree. Her thirst for knowledge and commitment to clinical psychology associated with the neurodivergent population led her to pursue advanced studies, earning a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from California Southern University. Her masters thesis included developing an Apraxia guidebook. Her doctoral research focused on the impact of compassion fatigue among caregivers of those diagnosed with Intellectual Disability. Her research has been published in leading scientific journals and she has been invited as a peer reviewer for other clinical journals world wide. Thus, earning her recognition as an influential voice in the field. She continues to practice in the field as a private provider as well as teaching the next generation of clinical counselors in graduate studies. Dr. Davenport's commitment to bridging the gap between scientific research and public understanding has led her to become an author. She continues to develop therapy books, guide books and self help journals for both clinicians and non-clinical staff alike. Beyond her professional achievements, Dr. Davenport finds solace in nature through gardening and travel. She believes that experiencing the natural world firsthand is essential for fostering a deep appreciation of our planet's beauty and vulnerability, as well as, ones place within the world.
